Good morning Magic Valley!!

More good news. Mike Wolverton, our first president, is on his way here for Saturday!

By tomorrow, Thursday, April 28, we must know how many Prime Ribs are needed. There will be enough of Nina’s scrumptious chicken for all that cannot RSVP for the beautiful bountiful bovine bonanza, but please let us know soon that you are coming if you can. Please, therefore, pay online at the website on or before Thursday night when it locks off! From then on, call me to RSVP to lock in your meals and pay at the door on Saturday. If you have already paid or reserved and want to add guests, also call, and pay the added $ at the door on Saturday. If you just paid your dues and now want to come to the evening dinner party, please call me and it is no problem to add you on the list up to Saturday BY PHONE ONLY.

Do not pay by mail from now on or snail mail won’t get you onto my door pay list.

Our 5-9 pm evening celebrating world class fly fishing, how FFF & MVFF folks helped it along, and how much fun our club folks had doing it, will be a once in a lifetime presentation by Will Godfrey. His pioneering as an Idaho fly fishing outfitter, guide, author, auctioneer, presenter, and our founding partner is an evening you do not want to miss.

Destination Magic Valley, Idaho. The Fly Highway runs through it, a Silver Creek, as well as a few other “sort of notable” rivers, streams, lakes, and reservoirs make our Valley Magic!!
Evening silent auctions and raffles include guided and hosted drift and wading trips across Idaho, a night at TNC Stalker Creek Cabin, art, collector’s caliber classic fly fishing books, rods, reels & line, a bazillion member tied terrific flies and more; in addition to the presentation.

To encourage new folks to come to our free 10 am to 3 pm daytime activities to learn about our sport, they will receive a free ticket in a drawing for a rod, reel & line outfit and a morning of fly fishing with one of our experienced (OLD) members (snicker-snicker). Bring your friends and tell your neighbors what a great time they will have with the many facets of fly fishing.

Our fly casting team will be demonstrating and giving hands on instructions to all that want to learn a bit of the easy and fun biomechanics of casting a fly line. Practice yarn rods will also go to future fly flingers for fabulous line loop forming functions: 2 o-clock, 10 o-clock, 2 o-clock, 10 o-clock, repeat.
Drift boats, U-boats, and wading gear and tactics for easy and fun water access for fly fishing adventures will be there to really get folks rowing, kicking or wading deeper into fly fishing.

Our fly tyers will be giving hands-on fly tying instruction to new folks Saturday too, as well as several demonstrating many patterns throughout the day.
Our information tables with The Nature Conservancy, Idaho Fish & Game Fisheries, BLM, our MVFF Conservation team, and several other outdoor groups will have important and fun information on the aquatic/riparian access and resources our pastime requires to exist. There will be lots to see and do and knowledgeable folks to get to know in fly fishing.
