January 20, the third Tuesday, 5 to 9 we are very pleased to have our IDFG Regional Fisheries Biologist Tucker Brauer come to discuss with us the work they are doing on the proposed changes in the regulations on our Big Wood River. These changes are being proposed for better management of the river's fish stocks and the improvements in all their aspects to fit current and projected river use and conditions as well as better our fishing experiences on this near and heavily used asset.
Please mark your calendars and come voice your views on their work as well as input yours as fly fishers long enjoying this important river.
We encourage you to come early and enjoy fly tying and a burger and beverage before the presentation. Stay late to discuss all the issues raised and what MVFF can and should do to help ensure any changes are good changes for our Big Wood River & our fly fishing community, as well as all other groups using the river.
We will have a brief overview of other club changes we will have for 2026 including our Third Tuesday, February 17, General Meeting. We will be planning on-the-water clinics in the spring, tying and casting at meetings, and fundraising changes designed to raise the funds we need to be able to better help IDFG, City of Twin Falls, CSI and other of our partners with needed projects in 2026 and beyond.
Please note we will not have any meeting in December 2025.
