Greetings to all our Magic Valley Fly Fishers members, supporters and those that soon will be. Thank you. EVENT DATES ARE NOW BEING SCHEDULED THROUGH JUNE, 2025. All evenings are 2nd Tuesdays Mar. 11, April 8, May 13, & June 10, and will be held 5-9 pm, unless otherwise noted, at the Mountain View Barn & Event Center located at 392 E, 300 S Jerome, Idaho. Please watch each event listing below for details or call us at 208-934-6405 for more information. THE PUBLIC IS ALWAYS WELCOME A MINIMUM OF TEN (10) REGISTRATIONS FOR PEOPLE CONFIRMING THAT THEY WILL EAT AT EACH EVENT ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE THE BARN'S CAFE OPEN AND FOOD AVAILABLE FOR ATTENDEES TO PURCHASE. THESE RESERVATIONS ARE NEEDED FOR EACH EVENT AND MUST BE DONE 3 DAYS OR MORE PRIOR TO THAT EVENT FOR OUR HOSTS TO HAVE FOOD AND STAFF AVAILABLE. THE BAR AND OTHER DRINKS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT ALL MEETINGS AT THE BARN. GUESTS AND FAMILY QUALIFY SO PLEASE ADD THEM INTO YOUR NUMBER OF GUESTS SO WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE CAFE OPEN!!! THIS ALSO APPLIES TO FISHOUTS FOR MEMBERS SO WE KNOW HOW TO PLAN. PLEASE CALL 208-954-6405 WITH QUESTIONS. Locations of fishouts, program presentations and other details for each event will be added as information becomes available. Other special event details will be posted as far ahead as is possible by the month in which they will be held. More information will also be available on this evolving website under Club News and on our FB page. Trout in the Classroom Project. IDFG has again asked MVFF to help with the Trout in the Classroom fishing days for the kids at the end of their projects this spring. All will be 8:00 am. to 2:00 pm. at Riley Pond at the Hagerman hatchery except for the last three to be held at the Hayspur hatchery off Hwy 20 by Silver Creek. IDFG brings all the gear, worms and their folks to help teach fishing and fish handling skills, the kids are bussed in and out, and we assist with teaching, baiting hooks and untangling lines. Fred is even proficient in netting cell phones off the bottom of the pond at the dock!! The kids’ teachers and parents are a great help too with lots of kids coming to learn and have fun. May 6 Tue, 7 Wed, 8 Thurs, 12 Mon, 14 Wed, 15 Thurs, 19 Mon, 20 Tue, 28 Wed, & 29 Thurs, at Hayspur Hatchery. June 3 Tue, 4 Wed, at Hayspur Hatchery.
